BAILA Society will provide a thorough and authentic introduction to New York-style salsa, also called “mambo” and “salsa on 2”. You don’t have to come with a partner, as you will learn how to communicate with whomever you meet in salsa social settings. We will lay the foundation for salsa using fundamental footwork, turns, and lead/follow partnering techniques while sharing the rich cultural history behind each move. Our instructors will guide you through the social etiquette of salsa dancing, preparing you for a fun night at the club after just your first class!
