This is our most popular class, and now we are holding two sessions back-to-back, one at 12pm and another at 1:30pm. We will be teaching two levels simultaneously during each session: one for absolute beginners and another for those with some salsa experience looking to review and advance their skill level. You don’t have to come with a partner, as you will learn how to communicate with whomever you meet in salsa social settings. BAILA Society will provide a thorough and authentic introduction to New York style salsa, also called “mambo” and “salsa on 2”. You will learn fundamental footwork, turns, and lead/follow partnering techniques as well as the rich cultural history behind each move. Our instructors will guide you through the social etiquette of salsa dancing, preparing you for a fun night at the club after just your first class!
